Our yurt village complex was officially opened on July 29 2015 and is the most inspiring addition to the accommodation choices available at Caldecotte Xperience.

The yurts are based on a traditional Mongolian design, brought up to the 21st Century with the building being interconnected and having bedrooms, bathrooms, access bedroom facilities, kitchen, electricity, heating, lighting and much more.

The building was designed with accessibility in mind and as a result this facility is already being successfully used by groups of young people and adults with additional needs who have found the accommodation comfortable, calming and creative.

The accommodation comfortably sleeps 25 in four bedrooms and also has the capacity to sleep additional people on futons in the main room. The main room has a bespoke built kitchen with electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, sinks with hot and cold running water and all the pots and pans, crockery and cutlery you need.

The two main bedrooms have sets of bunk beds sleeping 10 in each one and an en-suite toilet and sink is located just off each room.

There are two smaller rooms which each have an access bed and a set of bunk beds which can be used for additional sleeping or for staff.

You need to bring a sheet, sleeping bag or duvet and pillow for sleeping.

The structure is wooden framed with canvas covering and the space between is filled with natural sheep fleece insulation. The whole building was built by hand, brought to the site and constructed again by hand.
